The annual luncheon event is hosted by the DLBA to present a comprehensive look at year-to-year changes in the redevelopment and revitalization of Downtown Long Beach and to focus on significant issues facing businesses, residents and visitors. Acclaimed author, attorney and lifelong environmental activist, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has been engaged to deliver the keynote address at the annual event. Capitalizing on Kennedy's renown passion for the environment, this year's theme, Planting Seeds of Environmental Change, will address the importance of environmental consciousness as we continue the planning and development of our urban center. Issues such as water conservation, ‘green’ building practices, natural energy resources and recycling programs will be among the topics discussed.
