The City of Long Beach hosted the 2010 California Junior Chamber convention the weekend of Feb 19-21. Young leaders throughout California united in Downtown Long Beach to participate in training and leadership development activities.

The weekend began Friday with the annual Awards and Installation reception for LBJC, wherein the 2010 Board members were installed and outstanding local leaders recognized. Saturday held training sessions designed to help young people lead their communities.  Several notable Long Beach figures addressed the audience including members, Robert Garcia, Councilmember for the 1^st District, as well as James Johnson, Councilmember Candidate for the 7^th District.  The evening concluded with the California Junior Chamber’s Annual Awards and Installation Dinner, recognizing top leaders from throughout the state-- where local Long Beach leaders took home a few awards from the state as well!
